Job Summary
Sankyu Southeast Asia Holdings is seeking a highly competent and motivated Assistant General Manager to support our regional leadership team. This role plays a key part in overseeing General Management, Safety Management, Quality Management and Management Governance across our Southeast Asia, India and Middle East operations. The successful candidate will ensure operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement in line with Sankyu's global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support General Management, including coordination of regional operational policies, regional governance and management systems.
- Lead and monitor Safety Management, ensuring all business units adhere to corporate safety standards, legal requirements, and best practices.
- Manage Quality Management initiatives to maintain and improve service quality and customer satisfaction across the region.
- Ensure regional entities comply with group policies, statutory requirements, risk management controls, and internal audit standards.
- Monitor and evaluate governance practices across subsidiaries
- Serve as a communication bridge between Japan headquarters and subsidiaries in Southeast Asia, India and Middle East operations.
- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and proposals for senior management.
- Support strategic planning, performance tracking, and process improvement activities.
- Provide managerial guidance to teams and promote a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism.
Requirements
- A degree holder with over 10 years of experience in logistics, engineering and industrial operations.
- Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking Japanese is essential due to important interactions with the Japanese headquarters, regional offices.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and managing regional or multisite operations.
- Strong strategic planning and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, regional environment.
