- Join a well-established international Shipyard in Singapore Are you a finance professional with a sharp eye for operational excellence and a passion for maritime industries We're seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to oversee and optimize the financial aspects of our shipyard operations in Tuas. This is a hands-on leadership role in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. You'll drive financial controls, compliance, and risk management while collaborating across departments and with shared services.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily financial operations in Tuas to ensure compliance with company policies and adherence to budgetary constraints
- Implement and monitor financial procedures to maintain regulatory compliance and mitigate operational risks
- Drive process improvements to optimize invoice and payment workflows, enhancing efficiency and accuracy
- Manage cashflow for Singapore entities, including the holding company, to support liquidity and financial stability
- Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and General Ledger (GL) teams to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting
- Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and banking partners to facilitate audits, tax compliance, and banking operations
- Lead and contribute to ad-hoc finance projects that support strategic business objectives and operational improvements
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance operations demonstrating leadership and operational management
- Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with shared services functions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and support decision-making
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, compliance frameworks, and risk management practices
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial information and communicate insights clearly across departments
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficiency in SAP financial systems to support operational and reporting requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Accounting
