Job Description

Position Overview

The Assistant Manager, Finance (Regulatory Reporting& Financial Control) will support the finance function across SBI Digital Markets and AsiaNext Group. The role is primarily responsible for financial accounting, regulatory reporting, financial controls, and statutory compliance, while supporting business growth and finance transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Finance, ensuring timely financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Perform daily transactional accounting and maintain full sets of accounts.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare management accounts, financial reports, variance analysis, schedules, and reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing.
  • Monitor cash flow and support treasury-related activities.

Regulatory Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare and own MAS regulatory reporting, including CMSL and RMO returns.
  • Monitor regulatory capital, liquidity, and other financial requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support regulatory audits, inspections, and information requests.

Tax & Audit

  • Prepare GST returns and support corporate tax matters.
  • Coordinate annual statutory audits and financial statement preparation.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and service providers.

Financial Control & Process Improvement

  • Maintain and strengthen finance processes, workflows, and internal controls.
  • Support implementation of finance systems and reporting improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and reporting quality.

Planning & Business Support

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Provide financial analysis and management information to support business decision-making.
  • Support strategic initiatives, new business activities, and ad-hoc projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or finance operations.
  • Experience within a regulated financial institution, capital markets, fintech, exchange, brokerage, or digital assets environment is preferred.
  • Experience preparing MAS regulatory returns is highly desirable.
