Job Title: Assistant Finance Manager (Operational Finance)

Your New Role
- Oversee daily finance operations, including AP/AR, invoicing, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Lead and manage the full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including cut-off, GIT review, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, validation reports, and key accounting schedules.
- Produce regular financial reports, including weekly forecasts, monthly reporting packages, and variance analysis.
- Support regional consolidation and reporting requirements, including Hyperion submissions and analysis for senior leadership.
- Manage credit control activities, ensuring timely collection of receivables and adherence to internal policies.
- Oversee tax, GST, and transfer pricing matters, including coordination with external advisors and regulatory authorities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including sales planning and cost analysis.
- Partner with auditors on year-end audits, including preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and audit adjustments.
- Drive process improvements, system enhancements (e.g. M3, Power BI), and ensure strong internal controls and compliance with company policies.
Key Qualifications For Success
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent professional qualification with relevant experience.
- Prior experience in a trading and/or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with solid numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large datasets; database knowledge is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems is required; familiarity with Infor M3 would be an added advantage.
- Good communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience in supervising team members and driving process improvements is preferred.
- Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and continuously improve processes.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
