  • Manage progress billing, claims, and certification processes with clients and subcontractors
  • Track retention sums, subcontractor payments, and variation orders
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting and manage working capital requirements across multiple projects
  • Lead budgeting and financial planning for both new and ongoing construction projects
  • Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and site teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and reconciliations
  • Coordinate audit activities, manage tax filings, and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Review and enhance internal financial controls, policies, and procedures
  • Provide guidance and supervision to finance and accounts staff
  • Deliver financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the construction or real estate sector
  • Proven ability to work independently or lead a small finance team
  • Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including progress billing, retention, cost-to-complete, and work-in-progress (WIP)
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and engage senior stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines, and capable of managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is advantageous but not mandatory
