Job Description
- Manage the full financial reporting cycle for a Business Unit (BU), including monthly entity-level closing, sub-group consolidation, management reporting, compliance, and treasury oversight.
- Review work performed by Finance Assistants (AP, bank admin, FA register, GST/WHT filings).
- Validate intercompany invoicing, perform balance reconciliations, and prepare settlement proposals (netting, offsetting, cash settlement).
- Monitor and manage BU cash flow, liquidity positions, and treasury activities, including forecasting and cash optimization.
- Lead monthly closings, sub-group consolidations, and deliver performance analysis in management reports.
- Support BU budget preparation and provide variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with statutory audit, corporate tax, GST, and withholding tax requirements; liaise with auditors and tax agents.
- Collaborate with BU operations, HQ finance, and other group entities for smooth reporting processes.
- Support ERP implementation, data migration, testing, and process improvements.
- Enhance internal controls, documentation, and reporting workflows.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CA designation is an advantage
- 4-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to Big 4 or mid-tier audit firms
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Oracle)
- Solid understanding of Singapore GST and corporate tax regulations
- Experience in financial reporting, compliance, and month-end closing processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
