Job Overview
We are a fast-growing startup group seeking a hands-on and commercially minded Assistant Finance Manager / Finance Manager on a 6-month contract basis. This is a project-driven role focused on strengthening financial visibility, governance, and treasury capabilities across the Group.
Given the dynamic nature of the business, this role requires a highly adaptable individual who is comfortable navigating evolving priorities. High performers may be considered for conversion to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning
- Develop and implement Group-level Working Capital (WC) and Cash Flow (CF) forecasting models
- Drive alignment of financial reporting across local entities, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timeliness
- Partner with local finance teams to enhance forecasting discipline and visibility
Intercompany Management
- Review and streamline intercompany transaction flows and settlement processes
- Improve transparency, reduce inefficiencies, and strengthen documentation of intercompany arrangements
Government Grants & Incentives (DEI)
- Support the Group's DEI application and related work streams
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. advisors, authorities) on documentation, financial projections, and structuring considerations
Treasury & Banking
- Support the design and implementation of treasury strategies, including (a) FX risk management and hedging strategies (b) Interest rate risk management (e.g. interest rate swaps)
- Liaise with banking partners on financial instruments and solutions to support business needs
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Support the Head of Governance in (a) Implementing financial and operational processes across local entities (b) Strengthening internal controls and compliance frameworks
- Assist in the development, rollout, and enforcement of finance policies and SOPs
Transfer Pricing (TP)
- Support / lead TP assessments/exercises, where applicable
- Ensure intercompany transactions are aligned with TP policies and regulatory expectations
Strategic & Corporate Finance
- Support evaluation of potential investments, M&A, or inorganic growth opportunities
- Participate in financial analysis, due diligence, and integration planning where required
Required Qualifications
Education
- Qualified Accountant. Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 4-8 years of relevant experience
- Big 4 and commercial experience is highly preferred.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g. Oracle).
- Fluent in English and minimally proficient in Mandarin, including reading and speaking.
Core Competencies:
- Strong understanding of: (a) Financial modelling (especially cash flow and working capital) (b) Intercompany and TP principles (c) Treasury and risk management concepts
- Exposure to government incentives (e.g. DEI) or M&A activities is advantageous
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus
- Hands-on, adaptable, and able to work independently in ambiguous situations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
