An established international business is seeking a hands-on Assistant Finance Manager to manage the full spectrum of accounting activities across multiple entities. The role will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, month-end closing activities and financial reporting while supporting regional finance operations.

Our client is a well-established British MNC within the conferencing solutions space; with operations across Asia, with offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Headquartered regionally in Singapore, the company supports commercial and operational teams across multiple markets. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to strengthen their finance function and ensure accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and smooth day-to-day accounting operations.
Description
Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, cash application and reconciliation.
Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
Manage Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoice verification, vendor payments and supplier reconciliations.
Maintain accurate General Ledger (GL) records and ensure proper accounting entries.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and prepayments.
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
Process employee expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
Assist with payroll coordination and statutory submissions where required.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and corporate secretarial providers.
Support annual audit, tax filing and regulatory reporting requirements.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to strengthen financial controls and operational efficiency.
Support ad-hoc finance projects and business requirements.
Profile
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong hands-on experience in AP, AR, GL and month-end closing.
Experience handling full sets of accounts is advantageous.
Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Prior experience in a regional or multinational environment will be advantageous.
