Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to support the finance function across fund accounting, financial reporting, and investment operations. This role is ideal for someone with real estate, REIT, or fund accounting experience who wants exposure to transactions, portfolio reporting, and capital structures in a growing investment platform.
You will work closely with the Financial Controller and investment team, ensuring accurate reporting while supporting deal execution and investor deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for corporate entities, funds, and SPVs
- Handle general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Ensure compliance with SFRS / IFRS and internal reporting standards
- Support consolidation across multiple entities and jurisdictions
Fund & Investment Support
- Assist in fund accounting activities including NAV calculations, capital calls, and distributions
- Track investment performance, asset-level income, and expenses
- Support accounting for acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures
- Work with the investment team on financial data for deal execution
Treasury & Cash Management
- Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and funding requirements
- Support debt tracking, interest calculations, and loan covenant monitoring
- Assist with payment processing and capital movements
Audit, Tax & Compliance
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
- Support tax filings (GST, corporate tax) and regulatory submissions
Investor Reporting & Analysis
- Assist in preparation of investor reports and financial packs
- Support performance analysis at fund and asset level
- Maintain data accuracy for reporting to stakeholders
Process Improvement
- Support implementation of finance systems and reporting templates
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and data accuracy
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 4-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in:Real estate / REIT / private equity / fund accountingOr audit (Big 4) with real estate or financial services clients
- Working towards or holding CPA / CA / ACCA is advantageous
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with SPVs, fund structures, or investment entities is a plus
- Proficient in Excel experience with accounting systems preferred
