Assistant Finance Manager ($4500/East)

Responsibilities

• Support both Vice President and Head of Finance on a comprehensive set of finance operation and reporting functions.
• Be responsible on the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes for Account Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL) functions and maintenance.
• Preparation of financial reports, direct and indirect tax preparation and compliance, Department of Statistics submissions, internal control, audit and statutory compliance, liaison with sales and management reporting teams.
• Responsible in the preparation of accounting entries in accordance with accounting policies for GL and financial reports as well as the recommendation of appropriate accounting treatment and adjustments.
• You will also be a key team member in reviews and continuous process improvements.
• Operational scope of work includes preparation and review of specific AR and AP reports, responsibility for inter-company transactions, fixed assets schedule upkeep, preparation of GST reports, systems implementation, testing and maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor in Accountancy, or other professional accounting qualifications with 3-5 years of Financial Accounting experience in a medium or large sized reputable firm.
• Diligent, flexible, hands-on, detail minded, proactive and willing to learn.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
• IT familiarity and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of SAP will be advantageous.
• Adaptable to and comfortable with change implementation.
• Location: Near Singapore Expo, 5 days week
