Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger to ensure accurate financial record-keeping
  • Prepare and maintain financial documents such as invoices, receipts, and payments to support audit readiness and compliance
  • Process and submit claims including Medisave and insurance claims through online portals to ensure timely reimbursements
  • Monitor and reconcile bank statements and financial transactions to maintain accurate cash flow records
  • Deliver timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable to support operational continuity
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports aligned with management requirements to inform decision-making
  • Support the Finance Manager in month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accurate financial statements
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager on annual forecasting and budgeting projections to support strategic planning
  • Supervise, train, and develop finance team members and finance personnel across departments to enhance team performance
  • Conduct formal and informal performance appraisals for direct reports, setting clear performance goals to drive effectiveness
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes and ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation and filing systems to support operational efficiency
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager including scheduling meetings and preparing correspondence to optimize workflow
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration to achieve company financial and operational goals
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and stakeholders regarding financial matters to maintain strong relationships
  • Assist in implementing financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance across the organization
  • Manage ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks as assigned by management to support business needs

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Accountancy or equivalent professional certification
  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing a full set of accounts
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in financial processing and reporting
