What The Role Is
Are you a meticulous worker with an interest in HR If so, we want you to be part of our team at the Singapore Police Force (SPF).
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) keeps Singapore safe and secure, and its Manpower Department ensures that we have the right officers for the job. As an Assistant Executive (Policy and Planning) in SPF, you will play an important role to sense-make HR data to support policy decisions, and work with partners both inside and out of SPF to make sure that the SPF attracts, develops and retains good officers. You will have the opportunity to develop skills in data management and visualisation, as well as to apply these skills to live projects in a bid to drive innovation. The role also provides a great opportunity to segue into the Ministry of Home Affair's large HR community and its career opportunities.
You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme.
What You Will Be Working On
You will be trained to work with HR data, generate reports and to identify trends in support of policy decisions. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of SPF units, as well as with our MHA counterparts on a range of projects. As we transition to more data-driven policymaking, you will also be given opportunities to upskill and innovate.
You will also be required to take on a secondary portfolio in fixed asset management and logistics.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a proactive team-player to join our Policy and Planning team.
Requirements
- Meticulous and independent worker who is able to carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a positive attitude
- Good time management and be able to meet tight deadlines
- Previous experience/knowledge in HR HR/Data-related fields, as well as experience in Microsoft Excel functions would be an advantage
