Job Responsibilities:
- Underwrite new Motor business in accordance with the underwriting guidelines and objectives
- Liaising, advising and servicing (Including rapport building) intermediaries/insureds on motor insurance matters
- Reviewing renewal policies with claims record
- Monitor and review own portfolio including the Financial Advisors portfolio to ensure profitable growth in line with company targets
- Assist Team 2 Lead Underwriter for Team 2 matters
- Provide support to other Team Underwriters as required
- To attend to direct queries
- Any other responsibilities as assigned by Team Lead 2 Underwriter and/or Head Motor Underwriter
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 years of underwriting experience in motor insurance
- Complete MAS-required qualifications to provide advice on insurance matters
- Possess the necessary people skills for managing their team
- Good communication skill, tact and patience needed in handling clients for this very competitive class of business
- Able to multi-task, and is a team player, conscientious, tactful and willing to learn new skills
- Able to work independently and interact with different levels of customers.
