Job Description

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced A&H Underwriter to join our team. You will manage a panel of intermediaries, underwrite new business, review renewals, and support junior team members while driving portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite new A&H business in accordance with underwriting guidelines and objectives
  • Liaise with and advise intermediaries/insureds on A&H insurance matters
  • Review renewal policies with claims records
  • Monitor portfolio performance to ensure profitable growth
  • Guide and coach junior underwriters and administrative assistants
  • Provide support to Team Lead and other underwriters as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of underwriting experience in A&H insurance
  • Completed MAS-required qualifications to advise on insurance matters
  • Strong technical knowledge of A&H underwriting factors
  • Good communication skills, tact, and patience in handling clients
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and interact with various stakeholders
  • Team player, conscientious, and willing to learn new skills
