Assistant Equipment Engineer (Semiconductor Testing)

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer to join a dynamic hardware engineering team. You will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring that all semiconductor test equipment runs with maximum uptime and efficiency. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you will be directly responsible for the performance of critical, high-tech machinery.

Your Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform setup, conversion, and periodic preventive maintenance/calibration for a range of semiconductor test equipment, including testers, handlers, and probers. You will be the first line of defense, troubleshooting equipment issues to minimize production downtime.
• Process & Equipment Improvement: Work closely with other departments to manage equipment installation and buy-off. You will be encouraged to make recommendations to improve processes and enhance equipment efficiency.
• Communication & Reporting: Liaise with various teams to resolve machine or probe card issues and prepare daily shift reports to ensure smooth handovers.

Requirements

• A Diploma in a relevant engineering field
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Technical knowledge of Automated Test Equipment (ATEs)
• Able to work on a rotating shift schedule
