Job Description
. Review existing cable specifications to ensure alignment with the latest national, international, and company standards.
. Maintain the cable builder system, including but not limited to:
- Updating existing cable specifications to ensure continued validity.
- Creating cable technical data sheets and product codes for new products.
- Verifying materials quantities and man-hours against design requirements.
- Conducting feasibility studies for new processes/products and making recommendations.
. Design cables in accordance with applicable standards based on:
- Customer technical specifications and customisation requirements.
- Participation in new product initiatives (NPI).
. Perform cost calculations for new cables and recommend cost reduction measures for existing products.
. Conduct contract reviews to ensure all customer requirements are met.
. Provide internal and external technical support, including:
- Resolving product and technical issues to meet customer requirements.
- Calculating current-carrying capacities in accordance with the latest national, international, and company standards.
- Conducting site visits in response to customer or sales feedback.
- Participating in exhibitions (local and overseas), technical sales activities, and seminars.
- participating in other matters such as query, data sheet generation, catalogue updating and verification.
- Assisting with quality control activities and offering technical advice/guidance to maintenance teams.
- Conducting training sessions and seminars for internal and external stakeholders.
. Involved in improvement activities with relevant departments related to raw materials, manufacturing, machinery, and operations.
. Involved in sustainability initiatives in accordance with company sustainability policies.
. Lead and supervise the QC/Technical internship team in executing and supporting quality and technical projects.
.Develop and review work instructions for manufacturing processes and machine operations.
