The Assistant Engineer, Power Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the power system by carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical equipment, and supervising maintenance activities in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Lead and supervise a team of Technical Officers in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on the power system equipment.
Plan and coordinate maintenance schedules, staff rosters, and work activities to ensure operational efficiency.
Troubleshoot electrical faults, conduct inspections, and oversee repair, modification, and upgrading works.
Provide technical guidance and ensure engineering drawings, manuals, and maintenance records are accurate and up to date.
Assist in engineering investigations, safety analyses, testing, and incident reporting.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, quality procedures, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
Perform rotating shift duties and support emergency maintenance when required.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
2 years of experience in electrical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physically fit to perform field work, including climbing stairs/ladders, standing for extended periods, and handling tools and equipment.
Able to work rotating shifts and in a fast-paced operational environment.
No colour vision deficiency to prevent work hazard.
