Job Summary
Join our high-growth startup as an Assistant Engineer to support the design and maintenance of our facility infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Assist the site representation in monitoring work quality and ensure project timelines comply with local building codes
- Help interpret design goals and system requirements to assist in the efficient management of material resources
- Support communication with subcontractors by helping review quotations and verifying that materials delivered to site match engineering drawings.
- Assist in gathering technical specifications from vendors and comparing competitive quotations for equipment.
- Help supervise temporary site works and installation phases to ensure everything is ready for operations.
- Work with site teams to maintain high safety standards and technical accuracy during all installation phases.
- Maintain accurate daily operational logs and help prepare reports or documentation for management review.
- Support management in driving technical projects or system improvements to enhance facility performance.
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma, Higher NITEC/NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline. Fresh graduates from Polytechnic or ITE are welcome to apply.
- Strong interest in M&E detailing, HVAC systems, or industrial facility environments
- Good interpersonal skills to coordinate with team members and contractors.
- Basic analytical skills to help troubleshoot system issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of AutoCAD or similar engineering software is a plus.
