The Engineering Division conducts research and provides engineering services to the whole of DSO in the areas of digital and mixed- signal electronics/microelectronics, radio frequency (RF), electromagnetic interference (EMI)/electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), antennas, as well as mechanical and thermal engineering.

Assistant Engineer for Antenna Development

In this role, you will:

  • Assemble, integrate, and test hardware systems and prototypes.
  • Perform troubleshooting, testing, and validation of hardware assemblies.
  • Set up test equipment and execute measurement procedures (e.g. EM range measurement).
  • Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for engineering designs.
  • Support design modifications and engineering documentation. Maintain accurate records of testing results and design updates.
  • Assist in basic PCB layout design, review, and implementation.
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure project requirements are met.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with electronic hardware assembly and testing equipment.
  • Understanding of basic PCB design principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD modelling. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of PCB layout design is preferred.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
