Assistant Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging/conveying equipment, material handling systems, and electrical facilities
• Perform mechanical preventive maintenance and handle additional assigned duties
• Diagnose and resolve faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on various equipment
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensure fast recovery to operational status
• Utilize Predictive Maintenance methods to analyze and minimize equipment downtime
• Effectively use CMMS to investigate part failures and document maintenance activities
• Organize and execute planned shutdown maintenance and equipment commissioning
• Lead a team of maintenance technicians and coordinate with vendors for fabrication work
• Manage the inventory of critical spare parts and procure parts from service vendors when necessary
• Record and provide daily updates on maintenance activities to superiors
• Generate reports for management presentations and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assess risks and hazards associated with maintenance tasks
• Guide the team in Root Cause Analysis and collaborate with operations for failure analysis
• Lead projects aimed at operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to new technicians

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in automation systems
• Basic understanding of AC drives, electrical motors, pneumatic cylinders, and roller/chain conveyors
• Ability to utilize, debug, and modify existing PLC programs; knowledge of PLC and electrical systems
• Proficient in reading and using Electrical Single Line Diagrams
• Skilled in working with low-voltage distribution boards for lighting and auxiliary equipment
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts and be available for standby duties
