Job Description
We are looking for an Assistant Electrical Engineer to support daily electrical maintenance operations in the cement plant. The role involves monitoring equipment, maintenance and troubleshooting to ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical faults
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliable and smooth plant operation
- Diagnose faults and repair motors, sensors, limit switches and electrical components
- Understanding in details of both mechanical and electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, electrical standards and safety regulations
- Coordinate with teams to minimize equipment downtime
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance work, repairs and inspection
- Able to work in cement plant environment at Jurong port
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma and above in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience with plant maintenance
- Knowledge of PLC systems and troubleshooting is an advantage
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Bilingual preferred
- Familiar with preventive maintenance practices
- Willing to work shifts, overtime and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
- Good teamwork, responsibility and safety awareness
- Proficient in MS Office
