Job description

The Ecommerce Assistant Manager is responsible for driving online sales and engagement through effective campaign planning, performance analysis, and on-site merchandising. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure digital campaigns are well-coordinated, data-led, and commercially impactful.

Drive E-commerce Growth & Performance

  • Support e-commerce growth across markets by executing campaigns, on-site initiatives, and digital marketing activities in line with commercial objectives.
  • Work closely with country teams to align on campaign plans, local priorities, and performance targets.
  • Proactively flag inventory risks and recommend corrective actions to prevent lost sales.
  • Track, analyse, and report on e-commerce performance, translating data into clear insights and actions to improve revenue, conversion, and efficiency.

Campaign Planning & Coordination

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute e-commerce and digital marketing campaigns across the site calendar, including seasonal, tactical, and brand-led initiatives.
  • Act as the key point of contact between internal teams (marketing, creative, tech, operations) and external agencies.
  • Manage campaign timelines, briefs, and dependencies to ensure smooth and timely launches.
  • Execute and QA on-site changes within the CMS.
  • Support post-campaign reviews and align on next steps and optimisations.

Data Analysis & Performance Reporting

  • Monitor and analyse e-commerce and digital marketing performance metrics including traffic, conversion rate, ROAS, AOV, and sales.
  • Prepare regular performance reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
  • Track and monitor basic ecommerce performance metrics such as traffic, conversion rate, sales, and best-selling products.
  • Support post-campaign performance reviews by consolidating results and key learnings
  • Identify basic trends or issues (e.g. low conversion pages, high OOS impact) and flag them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining performance reports.
  • Assist in building reports with CMS and plug in tools.

Site Merchandising

  • Own on-site merchandising execution including homepage modules, category pages, product placement, and promotional logic.
  • Ensure site merchandising reflects campaign priorities, inventory status, and commercial goals.
  • Work closely with operations and supply teams to minimise lost sales due to inventory or fulfilment constraints.
  • Continuously optimise on-site customer journeys to improve discoverability and conversion.

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of e-commerce marketing and digital campaigns (site merchandising, paid media, promotions).
  • Experienced working with digital marketing agencies and translating campaign objectives into execution.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with global and country teams to drive sales performance.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Experienced with CMS and on-site campaign execution.
