What The Role Is
The Corporate Planning function at VITAL drives the development and implementation of strategies to achieve VITAL's mission outcomes. As an Assistant Director/Senior Manager in Corporate Planning, you will lead and drive key aspects of VITAL's strategic planning agenda, providing analysis and recommendations that inform senior leadership decisions and shape VITAL's future as we advance our mission to transform and deliver corporate shared services for the Singapore Public Service. This role involves strategic planning, performance monitoring, external profiling & communications, and management of visits & international relations.
What You Will Be Working On
Strategic Planning and Performance Monitoring
- Lead VITAL's annual planning cycle and develop annual planning guidance to support the work planning process
- Conduct environmental scanning and translate insights into actionable recommendations for senior management
- Drive the development and review of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Oversee the preparation of agendas for cross-agency meetings and key organisation reports
- Design, plan and organise corporate events such as Management Retreats
- Facilitate alignment among VITAL management and staff
External Profiling and Communications - Develop VITAL's internal and external communications strategy to strengthen organisational profile and brand
- Create content highlighting VITAL's achievements and initiatives
Visits and International Relations - Coordinate visits by foreign and local entities to facilitate knowledge exchange
- Lead and support VITAL Advisory Panel activities, including agenda-setting and follow-up actions
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate planning, strategy development, or related fields
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear narratives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to and engaging senior stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team (as needed), while managing multiple assignments
- Interpersonal skills to engage with staff at various levels
- Proficient in MS office applications and media software
- Candidates with experience in corporate planning, strategy development, or related fields will be considered for the Assistant Director position
