Located at 205 Jalan Kayu, JEH continues to expand services to better support its residents and their families.

Role Description The Assistant Director of Nursing is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore, responsible for supporting the overall leadership and management of nursing services at Ju Eng Home. This role oversees day-to-day nursing operations, including staff supervision, workload planning, and ensuring consistent delivery of person-centered care for residents. The Assistant Director of Nursing helps develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, supports infection control practices, and ensures compliance with regulatory and professional standards. Key responsibilities include mentoring and coaching nursing staff, coordinating interdisciplinary care, monitoring clinical outcomes, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. The role also involves active participation in care planning, family communication, and collaboration with external stakeholders to uphold high standards of long-term care.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Nursing Management skills, including leadership, team supervision, and operational oversight in a residential or long-term care setting.
  • Candidates should possess solid Nursing and Medicine knowledge to guide clinical decision-making, support complex care needs, and ensure safe, evidence-based practice.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in Infection Control, with the ability to implement and monitor infection prevention protocols and staff training.
  • Candidates should possess experience in Long-term Care, with familiarity in geriatric care, chronic disease management, and end-of-life care.
  • Relevant professional nursing qualification and registration with the appropriate nursing council in Singapore.
  • Experience in a senior or supervisory nursing role, preferably in a nursing home or similar care environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high standards of care and documentation.
