Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Director, Nursing (Management) to join our Nursing Service Department. This leadership role is pivotal in directing, organizing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating administrative and managerial activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead nursing services with strategic vision, resourcefulness, and system-thinking skills.
  • Promote innovation and early adoption of technology to enhance patient care and productivity.
  • Oversee nursing manpower planning, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Establish service recovery procedures and oversee implementation of nursing work plans.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, fire safety, and security standards.
  • Motivate and mentor nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
  • Act as a link between Senior Nurse Managers/Nurse Managers and the DON.
  • Coordinate patient care activities in collaboration with other departments.
  • Monitor nursing practices in line with professional values, hospital policies, and standards.
  • Ensure nursing staff competencies are maintained and aligned with hospital guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • Registered Nurse Practicing Certificate recognized by the Singapore Nursing Board.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a health-related subject (or equivalent).
  • Post-basic certification and/or Advanced Diploma in Nursing (specialized discipline).
  • Valid BCLS and AED Certification (Instructor certification preferred).
  • Strong IT skills and preferably trained in leadership/management.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Senior Nurse Manager.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and deliver large-scale projects.
  • Sound understanding of governance systems within healthcare.
