This role resides in NTUC's Industrial Relations & Analysis Department. You will be part of the research and analysis team that:
- Generates actionable insights of patterns, trends, opportunities, and threats that may impact the Singapore's workforce.
- Formulates and presents data-driven options for the business units and front-line officers decisions in areas of policy and industrial relations, that would best secure and advance workers interest.
Responsibilities
- Conduct studies into specific labour issues and/or ad hoc studies as required, to identify trends, threats and opportunities in the IR and labour landscape.
- Continuously innovate new data collection processes and research methodologies and build up new information-sources through proactive engagements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Crawl publicly available open-source content using advanced data crawling and mining techniques.
- Oversee, plan, maintain and track clean data to be used for data analysis.
- Support management on regular reports, topical presentations and emerging IR issues and gaps, including monitoring and tracking IR statistics.
- Organise and support annual corporate planning sessions to conceptualise overall workplan for the department, provide analysis and insights to support and guide management in decision-making.
Requirements
- At least 6-8 years of working experience in Industrial Relations (IR) and/or Human Resource (HR), with background in research, statistics and/ or econometrics, including demonstrated leadership or people management experience.
- Strong attention to details and keen interest in advancing workers interests through data-driven analysis.
- Keen interest in current affairs, and in tune with prevailing labour, social, economic and industry trends.
- Strong analytical and conceptual abilities, with an eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in data science, visualisation, and storytelling, including the use of tools such as R, Python and/or PowerBI is preferred.
- Ability to interpret complex information and data collected to prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
