Job Summary

RWS is evolving into Asia's premier pop-culture destination, hosting world-class artistes, concerts, festivals and immersive entertainment across our integrated resort. We are seeking a strategic, commercially sharp, and industry-savvy Business Development professional to drive artiste partnerships, entertainment programming and transformational deals that elevate RWS as the region's home for world-class events.

This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, entertainment industry dealmaking, and integrated resort impact creation-ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and can shape high-value, high-visibility entertainment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Commercial Structuring & Negotiation

  • Drive complex commercial negotiations beyond standard commission models.
  • Structure commercial proposals, ROI models, and risk-reward scenarios across ticketing, hotels, F&B, retail and experiential products.
  • Build business cases that correlate user growth, international traffic uplift, stay lengths, basket size, and ancillary revenue.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Revenue, Marketing, Hotel, and Attractions teams to align deal structures with IR-wide priorities

2. Build & Curate Artiste / IP Pipeline

  • Identify, source, and evaluate artistes, promoters, IP owners, agencies and event organisers aligned with RWS's 2026-2028 entertainment vision.
  • Maintain strong visibility into the concerts, fan-economy, K-pop, Mandopop, and experiential IP ecosystems across the region.
  • Analyse market demand, consumer segments and competitive price points to recommend acts that can deliver both tourism impact and commercial returns.

3. Industry Partnerships & Ecosystem Engagement

  • Cultivate strong relationships with promoters, agencies and producers (e.g., Fever, Live Nation, AEG, major Korean/Japanese/Chinese IP owners).
  • Monitor competitive landscape of venues, promoters and regional IRs to position RWS as the venue of choice.
  • Co-develop creative deal structures with partners to unlock exclusivity, repeatability, and multi-event opportunities.

4. Shape RWS's Entertainment Differentiation

  • Provide strategic insight into what matters to fans today, emerging talent, cultural shifts, and new formats (e.g., fandom festivals, immersive art, wellness sports events, hybrid digital experiences).
  • Recommend acts and event concepts that strengthen RWS's USP as a world-class venue for world-class acts.
  • Translate global best-in-class event trends into executable opportunities within RWS's multi-venue ecosystem.

5. Cross-Functional Influence & Programme Deliver

  • Navigate internal stakeholders (Venue Ops, Marketing, Finance, Hotels, Attractions, F&B, Corp Comms).
  • Secure alignment and buy-in through clear communication, strong commercial logic, and solution-oriented thinking.

6. Creative Problem Solving & Deal Maximisation

  • Demonstrate resilience in securing the best terms for RWS, exploring win-win solutions with partners.
  • Craft innovative packaging:
  • Ticket + Hotel + Retail bundles
  • Pre/post-concert experiences
  • IP collaborations with RWS estates
  • VIP, and international traveller products
  • Be relentless in ensuring RWS brings in the right acts with the right impact at the right economics.

Key Requirements

Experience & Industry Background

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in Business Development, Entertainment, Artiste Management, Promoter Relations, IP Partnerships, or related commercial roles.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality economics, including how events drive room nights, retail uplift, food & beverage, and international tourism footfall.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills:
  • Able to build ROI models, capital investment proposals, break-even analyses.
  • Highly proficient in Excel (scenario modelling) and PowerPoint (presentation decks).
  • Strong negotiation skills with ability to manage complexity and cross-entity dependencies.
  • Existing network or familiarity with regional promoters, artistes, talent agencies, producers and experiential IP ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling ability-able to distill complexity into compelling narratives for management and external partners.
  • Ability to operate independently, take initiative, and deliver results in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Passion for entertainment, consumer culture, and shaping the future of pop-culture tourism.
