About the Role
KK Women's and Children'sHospital is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director to provideleadership oversight of administrative and operational functions across ourDivision of Surgery. This role partners closely with the Division Chairman todrive strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and quality outcomes insupport of KKH's mission and hospital-wide objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategic Planning
- Oversee and support administrative and operational processes across multiple surgical departments
- Collaborate with the Division Chairman in resource planning and capacity management
- Support division-level quality management initiatives aligned with hospital strategy and performance goals
Human Resource Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop administrative teams across up to ten surgical departments
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management processes
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and multi-disciplinary teamwork
Customer Service & Quality
- Implement divisional strategies to enhance patient and customer satisfaction
- Monitor key performance indicators and service standards
- Support clinical quality improvement initiatives in partnership with Division Quality Leads
Departmental & Service Development
- Drive service and operational development aligned with hospital business objectives
- Ensure divisional compliance with Ministry, SingHealth, and hospital-wide initiatives, including: PDPA, MOH Essential Service Standards (ESS), Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety Standards (HQPSS), ISO standards, Business Continuity Planning (BCP) coordination
Requirements
- Recognised degree with 10-12 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Prior administrative and operational experience supporting senior management and multiple business units preferred
- Strong organisational, coordination, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong command of English
- Proficient in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Sound knowledge of office management principles and procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with diverse stakeholders
