Responsibilities of a Vegetarian Assistant Cook:
- Wash, peel, chop, mix, portion, assemble, and package food items in accordance with SOPs and established recipes.
- Support the manager by setting up workstations, operating basic kitchen equipment (such as mixers and ovens), and carrying out assigned cooking tasks.
- Ensure all food prepared meets quality, presentation, and portioning standards while strictly following food safety, hygiene procedures, and health regulations.
- Receive, store, and organize ingredients properly monitor stock levels and assist with inventory checks and stocktaking activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, equipment, and the overall kitchen environment.
- Work efficiently to meet production timelines, reduce waste, and contribute to smooth team operations.
Requirements:
- Basic food preparation skills (cutting, measuring) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding quality and hygiene.
- Ability to adapt and perform well in a fastpaced environment.
