Job Summary
Support the Construction Manager by planning, coordinating, and supervising tank and piping construction activities to ensure projects meet schedule, quality, safety, and budget requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising tank and piping construction activities to ensure timely and quality project delivery
- Prepare, review, and maintain construction documents, reports, work procedures, and project records for accurate project tracking
- Review Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRA) to verify compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings to communicate project progress and resolve technical and construction issues
- Monitor and update project schedules, work progress, and construction status reports to support effective project management
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality, and safety teams to facilitate seamless project execution
- Guide and supervise site supervisors, foremen, and workers to ensure adherence to approved drawings and procedures
- Enforce safe work practices and promote compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations on site
- Identify construction challenges and provide technical advice and solutions to maintain project momentum
- Monitor quality control of tank erection, piping installation, testing, and commissioning activities to meet project standards
- Optimize utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and resources to enhance site efficiency
- Assist in resolving site issues and maintain effective communication among all project stakeholders
- Support project completion within approved schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Process Plant industry
- Strong knowledge and ability to interpret Piping Isometric Drawings, PEFS/UEFS (Process Engineering Flow Schematics/Utility Engineering Flow Schematics), General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, Structural Drawings, and Equipment Drawings
- Familiarity with construction drawings, project documentation, and MSRA preparation and review
- Good knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and industry standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills demonstrated through coordinating multiple site activities under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and project reporting
