We are looking for an Assistant Construction Section Manager with LTA project construction experience, who will be responsible for managing and supervising assigned civil works sections within large-scale infrastructure projects. In this role, you will oversee daily site operations, ensure compliance with regulatory and project requirements, coordinate subcontractors and interfaces, and support the delivery of construction milestones in accordance with approved plans, safety standards, quality requirements, and project schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise civil construction works including earthworks, excavation, temporary works, piling, structural concrete, drainage, and road works
- Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, method statements, construction sequences, and relevant specifications
- Enforce compliance with WSH Act, MOM regulations, LTA safety requirements, and the project Safety Management System
- Review civil drawings, temporary works designs, and method statements, and resolve site technical issues
- Identify potential delays and propose recovery measures or alternative construction methods
- Ensure proper implementation of excavation safety, lifting operations, environmental controls, and traffic safety measures
- Lead and coordinate civil subcontractors, suppliers, and site supervisors within the assigned scope
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits, and ensure timely close-out of safety observations
- Coordinate interfaces with utilities, traffic diversions, M&E, architectural teams, and other civil sections
- Chair and lead coordination meetings and toolbox briefings
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and inspection requirements
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and independent checkers, and manage NCRs with corrective actions
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 810 years of civil construction experience, at least 5 years as a Senior Site Engineer or at least 2 years as a Section Manager
- Proven experience in civil works such as excavation, reinforced concrete structures, temporary works, diaphragm wall, bored piling, ERSS, and traffic and drainage diversion
- Strong knowledge of MOM regulations, WSH requirements, and LTA specifications
- Experience working on LTA/Main-con projects (MRT, road, tunnel, viaduct, or depot works)
- Willingness to work a 6D work week (Mon to Sat, 7:30am-6pm)
