Job Description

  • Provide strategic legal counsel on regulatory, policy, and compliance matters in technology, media, telecommunications, and data governance
  • Support the development of legislation, policy frameworks, and governance structures with cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of corporate, regulatory, and commercial agreements
  • Identify legal risks and implement robust mitigation strategies and internal governance protocols
  • Advise on contentious and enforcement matters, including oversight of litigation and appeals
  • Contribute to organisational decision‑making on emerging technologies and evolving regulatory landscapes

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Chief Counsel should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law and qualification to practise in Singapore
  • Minimum 7 years of post‑qualification experience in legal practice or in‑house roles within TMT, ICT, or data protection
  • Strong grounding in regulatory advisory work, administrative law, or competition law
  • Experience handling contentious matters or litigation
  • Excellent ability to navigate ambiguity, analyse complex issues, and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders
