Assistant ACMV Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of ACMV (Air Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation) projects.
• Support the Project Engineer/Project Manager in managing project schedules, manpower, materials, and subcontractors.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with project specifications and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare and submit technical documents, shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and project reports.
• Attend site meetings and record meeting minutes where required.
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and provide practical solutions during project execution.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with local regulations, codes of practice, and company standards.
• Monitor project costs and assist in controlling material usage and site productivity.
• Support project testing, commissioning, inspections, and handover documentation.
• Perform any other engineering or project-related duties assigned by the management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in ACMV engineering, preferably in Singapore.
• Good knowledge of ACMV systems, including chilled water systems, VRV/VRF systems, ductwork, ventilation, and mechanical services.
• Familiar with Singapore codes, standards, and regulations related to ACMV works.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD. Knowledge of BIM/Revit will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Good time management skills and able to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
• Possession of a valid Class 3 driving licence will be an added advantage.
