Job Description

Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Executive to join our client's Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the General Ledger (GL) for fixed and leased assets, supporting internal and external audit processes, and preparing documentation for key internal stakeholders. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our client's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Fixed & Leased Assets Accounting (Approx. 40%)

  • Maintain and update the General Ledger for fixed and leased assets.
  • Ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, disposal, and transfers of assets.
  • Reconcile asset sub-ledgers with the GL and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

Audit Support (Approx. 30%)

  • Assist in preparing schedules and reconciliations for both internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate with auditors to ensure timely submission of requested documents.
  • Respond to audit queries in a timely and accurate manner.

Documentation & Internal Stakeholder Support (Approx. 30%)

  • Prepare, organize, and maintain financial documentation for internal reporting and approvals.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to provide financial data and support business operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 24 years of relevant experience in fixed assets accounting and audit support.
  • Proficient in accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with relevant financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, FRS).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.
