General Summary:
The Assistant Accountant in completing accounting tasks for company, including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable, preparing company budgets, bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with Financial Managers and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks.
- Maintain company ledgers and daily financial transactions.
- Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, pay-orders, payables, receivables and purchase orders.
- Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them.
- Coordinate and manage payment and billing details of external service providers, contractors and vendors.
- Verify payments and deposits made through the company account and coordinate with the bank.
- Create weekly reports for management and team members.
- Provides day-to-day co-ordination and scheduling of activities to ensure that proceeding, operations, and accounting timeframes are met.
- Assists in the preparation of the Annual Financial Report.
- Provides accounting-related information to internal and external auditors.
- Liaises with tax agent on the tax affairs of the Company and its Subsidiaries.
- Quarterly, ensure the accuracy of GST reports submission to IRAS.
- Cash flow management.
- Underake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time in order to maintain staffing flexibility and efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENT:
- Diploma / Degree in Accountancy or professional accounting qualification, with working knowledge of Singapore standards tax and GST regulations.
- At least 2 years relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with computerized accounting systems.
- Independent, able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Possess good communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Hands-on knowledge of XERO Accounting system applications.
