Position Overview
As an Assistant Accountant / Accountant , you will support the Finance Department in managing both internal and external accounting functions for the Group and its clients. This role involves handling full sets of accounts, financial reporting, bookkeeping, tax submissions, and administrative support while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal Accounting Duties
Handle full sets of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable functions, and GST return submissions for all Group companies.
Prepare monthly Group Consolidated Financial Reports for management review.
Complete daily accounting tasks and month-end closing activities in a timely manner.
Review and analyze monthly financial accounts for companies within the Group.
Liaise with internal stakeholders on billing and finance-related matters.
Ensure effective internal control processes and maintain the integrity of financial records.
Coordinate with external parties such as auditors, tax authorities, and banks when required.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
- External Accounting Duties
Support accounting and office administration activities, including preparation of quotations and updating client email registrations.
Maintain full sets of accounts and assist in the preparation of unaudited and audited financial statements for clients.
Perform bookkeeping functions, including data entry into accounting systems for sales and purchase invoices, expenses, capital expenditure, and staff claims.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for clients.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax filings and XBRL filings for clients.
Manage and execute a portfolio of accounting clients under the guidance of senior staff.
Demonstrate a high level of discipline in complying with company policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Carry out any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities assigned by Management or superiors from time to time.
Job Requirements
Minimum Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA.
At least 3 years of relevant working experience with the ability to handle a full set of accounts independently.
Familiar with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).
Experience in group consolidation, tax filing, and XBRL preparation/submission.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Possess leadership qualities, a positive working attitude, and strong attention to detail.
