Our client is one of Japan's largest asset management firms that is looking Asset Management and Junior Compliance Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing regulatory engagement with MAS, managing filings, inspections, and supervisory communications
- Work with existing compliance team to advise senior management and business units on regulatory requirements, fund structuring, and cross-border activities
- Conduct compliance monitoring program such as employee compliance, control testing and work on thematic reviews
- Enhance the firm's compliance framework, including policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Manage AML/CFT framework including KYC, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring across fund structures
- Partner with senior members of the team to provide risk-based, commercially aligned compliance advice
- Coordinate with internal audit, external auditors, and regional/global compliance teams on governance matters
- Assess regulatory changes and implementation of new MAS requirements
- Promote compliance culture through training
- Work with external service providers on various engagements including but not limited to corporate secretary work
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of relevant compliance experience within financial services; experience in asset management or alternative investments is advantageous
- Positive attitude with a hands-on mindset
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to translate requirements into practical business solutions
- Knowledge of MAS regulations and Singapore regulatory environment is advantageous
- Understanding of investment products, fund structures, and cross-border regulations is advantageous
