The Asia Pacific (APAC) Channel Partner Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the APAC channel partner network coordinating sales of our scientific equipment, associated consumables and services. This customer-facing role involves territory planning, joint sales activity coordination, training and management of channel partners and achievement of commercial objectives in APAC.
As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:
- Work closely with channel partners, continually driving their performance and monitoring their achievement against objectives
- Regular in region travel with direct customer interaction to support sales activities and drive performance
- Collaborate with Quantum-SI internal teams and assist in the delivery of comprehensive training of channel partner specialist staff regarding product knowledge and positioning, sales techniques, company policies and help develop a plan to reinforce this training on an on-going basis
- Drive the sales performance of each channel partner to meet or exceed targets.
- Collaborate with channel partners to develop and execute sales plans and marketing strategies.
- Establish processes for channel partners to provide regular forecast updates and sales activity reports.
- Analyze performance metrics and market data to make informed decisions.
- Provide regular updates and detailed reports to senior management on channel partner activities and performance.
- Monitor and support channel partners to ensure they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting international business
Qualifications
Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a scientific APAC channel partner network
- Demonstrated knowledge of distribution networks and market dynamics in APAC
- Proven experience in developing and executing channel partner sales strategies and training programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Multilingual with excellent English language skills
- Scientific background, ideally in protein characterization / proteomics and a keen desire to learn
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, up to 75%.
- Successful candidate lives in Singapore (South Korea or Japan ok too) and must be close to an airport having good international connections.
Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it's ok if you don't!):
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related field.
