Job Description

Job Summary:

As a member of WuXi Biologics APAC Business Development team, you will work in the dynamic and cutting-edge fields of contract research, development, and GMP manufacturing of biologics.

This role reports to the Director, Business Development – APAC, and focuses on acquiring new accounts and building long-term relationships with business and academic clients in the biologics sector. The ideal candidate has a scientific background in biology, chemistry, pharmacology, immunology, or bioengineering. Experience in the biopharma industry is highly desirable.

You will manage assigned prospects, leads, and accounts in the APAC region on approved sales and marketing plans, and collaborate closely with senior BD leadership and operations to develop strategies and tactics to achieve APAC sales targets.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop account strategies and identify strategic accounts to achieve sales targets in biologics discovery, development, and manufacturing.

• Assess opportunities and create customized proposals and value propositions by collaborating with CRO team members, Proposal Specialists, CMC Management, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

• Build and maintain a strong network within the APAC biopharma industry through virtual and field networking and conferences.

• Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers; provide timely support and solutions with assistance from internal teams to expedite customer research and product development.

• Work closely with CRO Team, Project Management and CMC Leads to support project activities and proactively communicate potential business and technical risks to clients.

• Promote customer satisfaction by responding to inquiries, providing technical and service-related information, and preparing tailored proposals.

• Coordinate client visits and international site tours; ensure smooth communication and collaboration across internal business units.

• Maintain accurate forecasts and opportunity management using Salesforce. • Collaborate with Marketing to organize and manage conferences and trade shows.

• Gather market intelligence, including customer feedback and competitive insights, and share with BD and relevant departments.

• Represent WuXi Biologics and its affiliates at trade shows and conferences.

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of business strategies across APAC and Global BD teams.

• Manage all business aspects of customer relationships and deliver exemplary customer service.

• Achieve regional sales targets and monitor KPIs through timely Salesforce updates.

Job Requirements:

• Must hold a valid passport and work visa for the country or region of the physical work location.

• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in biology, chemistry, or related fields. JOB DESCRIPTION

• Business-level communication skills in English are required; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese at a business level is preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the life sciences industry, including at least 2 years in successful sales and territory management within the biologics/CDMO sector.

• Strong knowledge of biologics research, process development, manufacturing, and/or testing; experience in CRO/CDMO preferred.

• Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies while efficiently managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Strong organizational skills, systematic workflow, and clear documentation practices.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.

• Willingness to travel for internal and external meetings and conferences; ability to work independently under pressure.
