Asia Economy and Government Senior Reporter- Singapore

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Reporter to helm some of our biggest economy and government stories across one of the world's most vibrant and fast-evolving regions.

The ideal candidate is a skilled reporter with a strong understanding of politics, markets and economics, experience in Asia, and a proven track record of producing fast and impactful stories. The candidate should be comfortable navigating complex policy issues, interpreting data, cultivating sources, and translating technical topics into compelling narratives for a global audience. The ideal candidate will work closely with editors, visuals, video, and data teams to enrich reporting and enhance audience impact.

We'll trust you to:

• Break news, write in-depth analytical pieces, and produce ambitious enterprise across multiple platforms, including television, podcasts, and social media
• Be self-driven but also collaborative with colleagues across teams, bureaus and countries to deliver a global perspective to our audience
• Be innovative and think creatively about ways to make our content accessible to a diverse audience of business-savvy readers

You'll need to have:

• At least 5 years of recent financial journalism
• At least 5 years experience in a real time news environment
• At least 3 years experience covering Asia economics and politics as a reporter
• An ability to write clearly, quickly and accurately in English, often under time pressure
• Experience with story-telling across a range of platforms, including print, digital, podcast & graphics
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English
• Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
• Bachelor's degree or degree-equivalent qualifications
• Collaborative attitude and effective communication skills
