ASEAN Business Development Manager

Help us shape the future of sustainable energy and electrification across ASEAN. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in defining and executing the growth strategy for high-power testing and DC electrification solutions across the region.
You will leverage cutting-edge hardware and software solutions, with a strong focus on High-Power DC and Test Solutions, to identify new customers, develop strategic opportunities, expand market presence, and drive significant revenue growth across ASEAN's rapidly evolving energy ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Business Development
- Drive new business acquisition by identifying, engaging, and securing new customer accounts across the energy, electrification, automotive, battery, data centre, and power electronics ecosystems.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans, acting as a key point of contact to build strong customer relationships and manage the full sales lifecycle.
- Identify high-value opportunities by understanding customers current and emerging technical requirements and mapping them to the company's product and solution portfolio.
- Lead business development initiatives across high-growth areas, including DC grid modernisation, AI/data centre power, battery and automotive electrification, renewable energy, and defence electrification.
Market Expertise & Strategic Collaboration
- Bring strong technical and commercial knowledge across DC electrification and power electronics, including batteries/BMS, DC-DC converters, inverters, renewable energy systems, and related applications.
- Develop a strong understanding of market trends, customer requirements, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to identify new growth opportunities.
- Capture customer and market insights and communicate them internally to support strategic planning, solution development, and product portfolio direction.
- Collaborate closely with account managers and sales teams to provide technical expertise and develop compelling customer use cases and value propositions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, technology partners, channel partners, and internal cross-functional teams.
Sales Execution & Applications Support
- Own and develop the sales pipeline, including opportunity identification, qualification, channel strategy, forecasting, and conversion tracking.
- Support pre-sales activities by providing strategic and technical input, solution positioning, and customer engagement.
- Provide applications support, proof-of-concept (POC), and solution delivery where required.
- Work with internal teams to develop sales enablement materials, customer presentations, use cases, and other tools to strengthen market penetration and sales effectiveness.
Required Profile & Qualifications
Experience & Industry Knowledge
- 8+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic account management, solution sales, or related commercial roles within the energy, power electronics, industrial technology, or technology sectors.
- Strong industry knowledge and customer exposure in areas such as battery technology, power electronics, automotive electrification, energy storage, renewable energy, and grid simulation.
- Strong understanding of DC power, electrification technologies, and high-power testing applications.
- Technical fluency in emerging energy technologies and relevant industry standards is highly preferred.
- Candidates with relevant people leadership or team management experience may be considered for a Team Lead position.
- Candidates from technical or engineering backgrounds with strong commercial aptitude and a proven interest in business development are welcome to apply.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel approximately 25–50% across ASEAN.
- Valid driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate independently, identify opportunities proactively, and work effectively across regional and cross-functional teams.
