Dance Ensemble Singapore (DES) was founded in 1993 to present diverse dance styles through its professional company and Performing Arts Academy. DES promotes Chinese arts and culture via major local and international performances and cultural exchanges.

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and dependable Arts Operations Executive to support daily operations, programme delivery, and customer experience. This role focuses on operational coordination, student engagement, and front-facing support, ensuring smooth running of programmes and events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk operations to provide professional and timely responses to enquiries
  • Deliver accurate information on programmes, schedules, and fees to students and customers
  • Maintain and update student records in CRM systems to ensure data accuracy
  • Coordinate studio bookings and scheduling to optimize resource use and programme flow
  • Support performances and events by managing ticketing, guest lists, and onsite logistics
  • Assist with communications and basic marketing tasks to enhance programme visibility
  • Perform administrative duties including documentation and reporting to support team operations
  • Assist with invoicing and payment processing to ensure timely financial transactions
  • Maintain basic financial records and coordinate with the Finance Department for accuracy
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a customer-focused and professional attitude
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth programme delivery and event execution
  • Adapt to flexible working hours including weekends as required by the schedule

Required competencies and certifications

  • Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good communication skills in English and Mandarin to support diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage operational demands
  • Ability to work weekends as part of a 5-day work week schedule

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in operations, administration, or customer service

Other Information

Working Hours 5-day work week including weekends

  • Tuesday: 9 am to 6 pm
  • Wednesday: 1 pm to 10 pm
  • Friday: 1 pm to 10 pm
  • Saturday, Sunday, Monday: 9 am to 6 pm
