Albus Arts and Design is a creative art education studio in Singapore offering exploratory art classes, portfolio preparation programmes and creative workshops for children, teenagers and adults.
We are looking for a responsible, enthusiastic and creative intern to support both our art classes and the daily administration of our studio. This role is suitable for someone interested in art education who would also like to gain hands-on experience in studio operations and programme coordination.
Teaching Support
Assist art/fashion teachers during children's and teenagers art classes
Prepare art materials, equipment and classroom spaces before lessons
Guide students through creative activities under the direction of the lead teacher
Provide individual support and encouragement to students during class
Help photograph and document students work and learning progress
Maintain a safe, positive and organised classroom environment
Support the development of lesson materials, visual references and sample artworks
Lead selected activities or classes independently after receiving appropriate training
Studio Administration
Respond to general enquiries from students and parents
Assist with class scheduling, attendance records and student registrations
Update student information and organise lesson documentation
Support communication with teachers, parents and external partners
Assist with inventory management and the purchasing and organisation of art materials
Help maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the studio
Support workshops, holiday programmes, school collaborations and studio events
Assist with other day-to-day administrative and operational duties when required
Currently studying or recently graduated in Fine Art, Fashion Design, Art Education, Design, Early Childhood Education or a related field
Passionate about art, creativity and working with children and teenagers
Patient, responsible, organised and attentive to detail
Friendly and confident in communicating with students, parents and teachers
Comfortable handling both creative teaching tasks and administrative responsibilities
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
Proficient in English Mandarin proficiency would be an advantage
Familiarity with Google Workspace, Canva or other basic digital tools would be helpful
Previous teaching, tutoring, childcare or administrative experience is an advantage but not essential
The intern should be available on selected weekdays and/or weekends. Some weekend availability is preferred, as many of our classes and workshops take place on Saturdays and Sundays.
Practical experience in art teaching and creative education
Training and guidance from experienced art educators
Experience in lesson preparation, classroom management and student engagement
Exposure to the daily operations of a growing creative education studio
