Job Description

Bang & Olufsen are looking to enhance our presence across South Pacific (Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand) with a new Area Sales Manager position. As part of our growing collaborative South Pacific team, you will play a key role in enhancing the performance of our Partner stores, a vital part of our global distribution strategy. This is a commercial role focused on supporting our Monobrand and Multibrand partners, promoting retail excellence, providing innovative retail knowledge, identify areas to enhance sales and provide Service Excellence.

Based in Singapore, this position works with partners in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

  • Support Monobrand and Multibrand Partners in reaching common goals and establishing long lasting profitable relationships.
  • Monitor and improve the performance of the stores and POS by analyzing sales data and relevant KPIs, proposing activities to improve performance.
  • Ensure B&O Brand Standard are upheld throughout our Partners Stores. To fulfill this goal, you will work closely with B&O Retail, Store design, and Visual Merchandising Teams.
  • Promote Sell-Out by implementing channel wide programs, marketing, events, and training.
  • Stay on top of market needs and requirements, feeding back to internal teams.
  • Work with the commercial buying team to improve sales, including proactive partner support on stock management and order placements.
  • Deliver commercial actionable and scalable insights to grow our volume and profitability.
  • Be a collaborative and integrated member of the Team, sharing accomplishments, proposing new great activities or ways of working.
  • Find opportunities to expand the business and plan the development of a retail network by evaluating opportunities for expansion, both organic or through new partners or new stores.

What you bring

To thrive in this role, we imagine that you have approximately 10 years experience within a sales environment, ideally from the luxury goods industry across the Southeast Asia region.

Moreover, you bring:

  • Effective communication and networking skills, that you will utilize when building partnerships and communicating with various stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive business insight which allows you to apply knowledge of business and the market to advance the organization's goal.
  • Experience working with selected independent partners and franchise stores
  • Advanced knowledge of retail and how to utilize retail KPIs to measure and improve store performance.
  • Experience and aspiration to work in a continuously developing and complex international environment.
  • Experience in overseeing commercial negotiations.
  • Curiosity alongside a motivation to understand the market dynamics and staying on top of market changes to identify opportunity spaces.
  • Fluency in English is expected. Other languages are definitely a plus

What we offer

This role is a critical part of the expanding South Pacific team including Marketing & PR, B2B Sales and reporting to the Market Director South Pacific. Additionally, you will be part of the Area Sales Manager community globally and work closely with our head office retail and sales teams to ensure high standards in our Monobrand stores. The external relationships with our Monobrand partners will be paramount in this role, collaborating daily with our partners and their store teams across South Pacific.

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package.

Location: Singapore

Start date: As soon as possible.

Travel: Approx. 40%, 2 days per week
