Job Description

Purpose of the Role:

The SEAP Sales Manager is responsible for driving the company's commercial growth and strengthening its presence across Southeast Asia Pacific for Konecranes component Alpha brand channel - VERLINDE. This role involves managing distributors, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring the implementation and execution of commercial strategies established by Verlinde Management team. As part of a multinational team, the role requires close coordination with business leaders and partners in France and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Develop, manage, and expand the company's distribution network across SEAP.
  • Strengthen existing customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities in line with company strategy.
  • Implement the commercial policy/strategy established by Verlinde Management team
  • Execute the regional sales plan and achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Monitor and report market trends, competitor activities, and regional business risks/opportunities.
  • Development of the turnover.

2. Distributor & Customer Management

  • Take over and manage existing distributors in the region, ensuring alignment with brand and performance expectations.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with distributors and support their development through sales enablement, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Participate in negotiations with key customers and provide technical-commercial support as needed.

3. Brand Development & Representation

  • Represent the Verlinde at trade shows, industry events, and customer visits.
  • Responsible for marketing communication to enhance Verlinde's brand visibility and communication strategy in the SEAP market.
  • Organize customer seminars, trainings, events, and promotional campaigns.

4. Collaboration & Reporting

  • Act as the primary liaison between SEAP region and Verlinde business leaders and partners, ensuring effective communication and alignment on strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare monthly reports on regional performance, forecasts, and key account activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal sales policies, ethical standards, and company governance frameworks.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, or International Business.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-5 years in a technical-commercial or business engineering role within an international B2B environment (preferably machine tools, industrial equipment, or metallurgy).
  • Proven experience managing distributor networks and developing regional sales.
  • Exposure to SEAP/APAC market dynamics and customer requirements.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approx. 40-60% of working time).
  • Strong business acumen with a passion for technology and innovation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and results oriented.
  • Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal, is required to effectively communicate with main stakeholders within Verlinde and to read and interpret commercial and technical documentation in French, as necessitated by the role.
  • Culturally sensitive and able to work effectively across diverse environments.
