Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Area Sales Manager to drive market development and revenue growth in Singapore. This is an individual contributor role responsible for developing new business opportunities while supporting and coordinating with local distributors and partners.

The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market presence for automated storage and warehouse solutions within industrial and logistics sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Market Development & Direct Sales

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and distribution sectors
  • Proactively generate leads through cold outreach, networking, and industry events
  • Conduct client meetings, product presentations, and solution discussions
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and closing
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and sales forecasts

Distributor & Partner Support

  • Support and coordinate with local distributors in Singapore
  • Assist partners in opportunity qualification, proposal preparation, and closing
  • Ensure alignment of sales strategy and pricing
  • Monitor distributor performance and market coverage

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Provide regular feedback to Regional Sales Director on market developments
  • Contribute to local sales strategy and annual planning

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of B2B sales experience in industrial equipment, machinery, automation, material handling, engineering solutions, or related sectors
  • Proven track record in new business development (hunter mindset preferred)
  • Experience working with distributors, channel partners, or dealers is an advantage
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working independently
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline preferred
