Architectural Designer

The Design Abode is looking out for a fun, passionate & motivated team-player who is ready for fresh challenges in design innovation.

Candidates should be able to confidently manage a project from its conceptualization to its execution, while under the supervision of Associates & Directors. Candidates should also be able to engage with all parties involved in a project. Most of all, candidates should enjoy the rigourous process of seeing design concepts come to life.

Responsibilities

- Take instructions from Associates or Directors & work with the team to manage execution of the projects

- Meet with client in order to understand the client's objectives and requirements

- Communicate effectively with client & consultants in order to address client's needs- Prepare presentations for client's review

- Prepare tender drawings & documents with the team for contractors to quote

- Assess contractors quotations & manage construction contract

- Prepare drawings & documents for authority submissions

- Manage and track project schedule and deliverables from project team

Qualifications

- Relevant degree in Interior Design or Architecture

- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup & Photoshop

- Minimum 2 years experience in architectural practice

- Familiar with local trades & product specifications

- Familiar with local authority regulations

- Strong creative and communication skills

- Passion for thoughtful design
