Role Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineer - AI & Automation to own, design, build, test, and deploy AI-powered workflows for clients. This role is suited to someone with 1-3 years of experience who is comfortable working with APIs, automation tools, Python and modern AI platforms to solve real business problems.
You will work across internal and client-facing projects, helping connect AI tools with CRMs, document workflows, communication tools and operational systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and support AI-powered workflow automations for business operations
- Integrate LLM and AI services into client processes using APIs, webhooks and automation platforms
- Develop and maintain backend logic, scripts and lightweight services in Python
- Implement internal knowledge assistants, document-processing workflows and lead-handling automations
- Connect systems such as CRM, email, scheduling, forms and document platforms
- Test, debug, and improve the reliability of deployed automations
- Document system logic, workflows and handover notes clearly
- Support client onboarding, implementation, QA and troubleshooting
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to turn operational needs into working solutions
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in software engineering, automation, systems integration or a related role
- Working knowledge of Python
- Experience with APIs, webhooks, JSON and basic data handling
- Familiarity with automation tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier or similar platforms
- Exposure to AI tools or LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic or similar
- Basic understanding of databases and SQL
- Able to troubleshoot technical issues and improve workflow reliability
- Clear communication and good documentation habits
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, implementation-focused environment
- Able to independently implement small-to-mid-sized integrations and automation workflows
Nice to Have
- Experience with FastAPI, Node.js or lightweight backend services
- Familiarity with RAG, vector databases or knowledge-base workflows
- Experience with document extraction, OCR or structured data capture
- Exposure to voice-agent tools, scheduling integrations or CRM workflows
- Basic frontend or dashboard experience
- Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into reliable solutions
