Detail-oriented Applications Developer / Software Engineer to support KYC/AML systems, with a strong focus on Source of Wealth (SOW) analysis, risk assessment, and compliance-related workflows.
The role involves working closely with compliance teams to review, analyze, and enhance KYC processes, ensuring data integrity, risk identification, and regulatory alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform structured analysis and review of KYC profiles, ensuring data consistency, completeness, and accuracy across systems.
Evaluate Source of Wealth (SOW) information, benchmarking narratives and supporting documentation.
Identify discrepancies, red flags, and risk indicators through systematic and data-driven analysis.
Support escalation handling (L3 level) for complex or high-risk cases flagged by L1/L2 teams.
Collaborate with stakeholders to improve KYC/AML system workflows, automation, and case management processes.
Contribute to development or enhancement of internal platforms/tools used for compliance monitoring and reporting.
Generate insights and management reporting (MI) to support risk monitoring and decision-making.
Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., MAS, HKMA AML/CFT guidelines) through system and process controls.
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years of experience in KYC/AML, with strong exposure to SOW review and risk assessment.
Prior experience handling escalated (L3) compliance cases within banking environments (preferably retail banking private banking/HNWI is a plus).
Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify risks.
Familiarity with KYC systems, workflows, or compliance technology platforms.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple cases efficiently, and perform under tight timelines.
Experience working with or supporting system/process improvements, automation, or data analysis in compliance environments is advantageous.
