Job Description: Application Technical Lead (Grade 6)

Location- Singapore

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Job Summary:

The Application Technical Lead is a senior technical role responsible for leading application discovery, assessment, and migration planning initiatives within enterprise infrastructure transformation programs. This role combines deep Azure IaaS expertise with cross-technology engineering capabilities to ensure successful onboarding, migration, and ongoing managed services delivery.

The position provides technical governance across application migration lifecycles, while also supporting complex escalations, operational excellence, and continuous service improvement in hybrid and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Discovery & Migration Leadership

·       Lead application discovery and technical assessment activities during onboarding phases.

·       Identify application dependencies, migration readiness, risks, and constraints.

·       Define target-state architectures for Azure IaaS and hybrid cloud environments.

·       Provide technical governance and oversight for application migration planning and execution.

·       Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.

Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture

·       Design and implement Azure IaaS and hybrid cloud solutions aligned to enterprise standards.

·       Drive infrastructure transformation initiatives across cloud, networking, security, and compute domains.

·       Ensure alignment with best practices in scalability, resilience, and cost optimization.

Advanced Technical Support & Operations

·       Provide L4 support for complex, escalated incidents and problems across multiple technology domains.

·       Perform root cause analysis and ensure permanent resolution of critical issues.

·       Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes ensuring SLA adherence.

·       Act as escalation point for business-critical incidents and service disruptions.

Service Delivery & Continuous Improvement

·       Ensure delivery of contracted managed services outcomes and operational excellence.

·       Proactively identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.

·       Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation.

·       Conduct quality audits and improve service delivery processes.

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

·       Engage with stakeholders across business and IT to align technical solutions with business goals.

·       Mentor and coach L1–L3 engineers, enabling knowledge transfer and capability uplift.

·       Coordinate across cross-functional teams including cloud, security, and networking.

·       Support and contribute to project delivery alongside operational responsibilities.

·       Ensure adherence to industry standards, best practices, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·      8–12 years of overall IT experience in infrastructure and project delivery.

·      Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure IaaS.

·      Strong expertise in:

-             Application dependency mapping & discovery

-             Infrastructure assessment & migration planning

-             Hybrid cloud architecture

-             Enterprise infrastructure transformation

·      Proven experience leading large-scale migration or transformation projects.

·      Strong troubleshooting skills across multi-domain environments (cloud, networking, security, compute).

·      Experience with ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).

Qualifications and Certifications :

·      Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

·      Preferred certifications:

-           Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

-           AWS / GCP Architect certifications (nice to have)

-           VMware, Networking (CCNP/CCIE), or Security certifications (CISSP, etc.)

·      Additional certifications across cloud, infrastructure, or enterprise platforms are advantageous.
